New Silver (Alpacca)

Alpacca (also known as new silver) is a family of nickel-zinc-copper alloys, with 50-60% copper,   15-30% zinc and 10-30% nickel, having good mechanical properties and resistance to corrosion.  
The presence of nickel improves such characteristics and gives the alloy a similar aspect to that of silver.  Once it was used in the production of silverware, whereas today it is used in the manufacture of  the following:

  • small mechanical parts

  • fashion jewelry

  • frames for eyeglasses

Characteristics of this alloy:

  • Strenght, elasticity, shiny surface

  • Durability and reliability
